Extremely low translation rates are available everywhere online—and you can always find lower. However, it’s important to realize that there’s a clear connection between translation price and quality.
In translation, like in other fields, you truly get what you pay for. Shopping around for the lowest translation rate, without taking quality into consideration, is therefore extremely poor criteria for choosing a translation service.
Although there will always be self-proclaimed “translators” trying to entice you with much lower prices than the going rate of experienced, professionally qualified translators, it’s unwise to use their services, since, with few exceptions, they haven’t received professional training in the field and aren’t legally certified. If you use the services of unqualified or inexperienced translators, you do so at great risk: just one translation error may result in lost customers or even a lawsuit.
To get a sense of the going rate for professional translation services, it’s a good idea to contact a few certified translators to enquire about their rates—and, most importantly, their qualifications and experience.
While the highest rate won’t necessarily guarantee the best quality, you can safely assume that if you pay the going rate of professional, OTTIAQ-certified translators, the translation you’ll receive will do justice to your message and corporate image.
After all, the quality of your translations speaks volumes about your customer service and professionalism!
